Patrica "Mamanut" Roland
nominated by JTodd LeFevers
1949 - 2004
When tomorrow starts without me
and I'm not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your
all filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things
we didn't get to say.
So when tomorrow starts without me
don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me
I'm right here in your heart.

FAVORITE TRACK: Eldora Speedway Rossburg, Ohio
FAVORITE RACE: World 100 at Eldora Speedway
FAVORITE DRIVER: Billy Teegarden all time, but I also loved watching Pat Patrick,
Vern LeFevers, Billy Childers, and of course my son in law Jesse Lay.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: There are so many, but I'll never forget Eldora
Speedway when I was air lifted out by Helicopter and taken to Coldwater, then a hospital
in Dayton, Ohio. I'll never forget the way Eldora treated me. They called often to get
updates. Even after I was home, they called and really cared how I was. I also want to
mention how when the World 100 started there were many people who slept in their cars.
Now seems like you have to have a big RV or your not camping.
ANYTHING YOU WOULD CHANGE: Track Favortism. The rules should be the same no
matter how little or big your name is.
IF YOU HAD A VOTE FOR THE NATIONAL DIRT LATE MODEL HALL OF FAME:
Ralph Latham, Billy Teegarden, Gene Crittenden.
